The engine cooling system can be supported (as an option and standard on the MT versions) by the Self Cleaning System™ making it possible for the tractor to always operate with the maximum safety margin.
In fact, the SCS™ keeps the radiator and intake grilles of the engine bonnet constantly clean from dust and debris raised during work, avoiding dangerous overheating.

The special cooling system is controlled by a 3-function button that the operator can select based on the different needs.
The selected operating mode is shown on the digital display.

When the temperature inside the radiator increases reaching a certain value, the large intake fan comes into operation causing the passage of air through the radiator itself, lowering its temperature.
When the optimum operating temperature level of the engine is reached, the system stops the intake fan by activating the small blowing fan located in front of the radiator.
This fan causes a violent jet of air that reaches the dirt deposited on the grille of the engine bonnet, making it fall to the ground and causing its total cleaning.
When the temperature inside the engine has returned to the superior level, the system stops the small “cleaning” blower fan and restarts the large cooling fan.

This is an energy-saving mode because the cleaning system is excluded and the intake fan only turns on when required.
This operating mode minimises the power consumption of the cooling system to save fuel.

The SCS™ gets rid of the operator’s need to make continuous and annoying stops to remove the residues accumulated on the tractor bonnet.
In fact, some activities such as fodder mowing or shredding vine shoots, raise an incredible amount of dust, flowers and pollen into the air which, sucked by the radiator, settle on the bonnet grilles, preventing the regular flow of air. This inconvenience, in addition to causing potential irreversible damage to the engine, forces the operator to make frequent stops to manually clean the grilles.
The SCS™ is the simple and rational solution to this problem thanks to an automatic cleaning cycle.
The engine cooling fan is operated by the system only when required and for the time necessary, otherwise it remains stationary.
This means that it does not absorb power from the engine, does not produce noise and the tractor grill does not clog up as there is no intake.
When the tractor is started with a cold engine, the optimal engine operating temperature is reached first.
At the same time the cab heating is improved and sped up.
When driving on roads, therefore in the presence of a strong air flow due to the tractor’s speed, the cooling fan is almost always stationary.
All this means lower consumption and increased engine life.
